After reading the articles and research on teacher satisfaction, flexibility seems to play a critical role in how teachers experience their work, particularly in online or distance learning environments. It is both a benefit and a challenge. The ability to determine when, where, and how to teach empowers educators to better balance their personal and professional lives (Borup, Stevens 2016). However, this flexibility can also blur the lines between work and home, creating additional stress. For teachers, maintaining control over course content and working autonomously are key factors that influence their sense of satisfaction, even amidst the challenges of online instruction.
